Dynamax Ball – Check Your Posture

AVOID INCORRECT POSTURE WHILE EXERCISING
New users often make the mistake of allowing their posture to deteriorate while under fatigue. Using correct posture with the Dynamax™ medicine ball follows the biomechanical principles recommended for any typical physical activity regimen. We recommend beginning with a Dynamax™ medicine ball that is light enough to perform your exercise of choice with correct form for at minimum three sets of 10-15 repetitions. Use a lighter unit if you are unable to do an exercise properly in this work range. We further recommend stopping an exercise when your biomechanical form breaks down. Performing exercises with incorrect technique promotes bad habits, decreases biomechanical efficiency, and will eventually lead to joint and soft tissue injuries.

Correct Posture: Weight over the heels, neutral spine, force production channeled through the trunk and spine appropriately. Prime movers initiate the exercise and are followed by secondary muscle groups. This results in optimum exercise efficiency, peak power, and a reduction of stress about the joints and mechanical components of the human body.

Incorrect Posture: Weight over the toes, flexed spine, force production channeled through an incorrect path resulting in decreased exercise efficiency, less power, and an increase in stress about the joints and mechanical components of the human body. Secondary muscle groups accept the majority of load and prime movers are activated out of sequence. This is not the way to train!
